Kimbanda - The Ritual Symbolism of the Pentagram

The Ritual Symbolism of the Pentagram

The Pentagram or the five pointed star represents the Holy Divine Angel, Exu Maioral
and the spiritual beings of the First Greater Quimbanda Kingdom. In the American Quimbanda, Gnostic Orthodox Rite magickal tradition, the Pentagram represents the five elements of Spirit, Fire, Air, Water and Earth. The Pentagram also represents the union of opposites, generally expressed as male and female, in order to generate a greater whole. The pentagram is commonly accepted as a symbol of protection and exorcism, driving away evil and other unwanted energies and entities.
